Meet our SAPA National President


David de Korte is the Principal of Camps Bay High school, a coed school of 750 learners, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Town.

The school celebrates diversity and has a saying that there is "strength in diversity" It is a school that aims to find a home for each and every learner.

David has been in education for over 30 years and been a principal for 20 of those years. He is married to his wife of 31 years, Arja, and has 3 children ranging from 27 to 18. He is a qualified Maths teacher, with a B.Sc qualification with Honours in Geography, and a Masters degree in Education.

A different SAPA provincial executive hosts the annual conference each year.
Ensuring that you never feel isolated from not only national but also international trends, SAPA provides opportunities to access current world developments in educational leadership through membership of the international Confederation of Principals (ICP) and the African Convention of Principals (ACP).
